It’s time to get hooked on a new reality TV series as The Fortune Hotel welcomes its first guests on Monday, 13 May.
The ITV show, hosted by Stephen Mangan, will see 10 pairs battle it out in a bid to walk home with the staggering £250,000 jackpot which is hidden in one mystery suitcase. In order to bag the prize fund, the duos must avoid getting an early checkout and must ensure that they’re the ones holding that £250,000 suitcase by the end of the show. With challenges throughout the series, there’s set to be twists and turns at every corner as host Stephen observes from the sidelines with a watchful eye.
So as Fortune Hotel opens its doors for the first time, let’s take a close look at what you need to know about host Stephen, including his very famous wife… TV viewers may recognise the 55 year old from various shows including Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years, The Split and Episodes.
The actor’s also appeared on the big screen in films including Billy Elliot and Rush. But it’s not just Stephen who you may recognise - his wife is also very famous in the acting industry too. Since 2007, Stephen has been married to actress Louise Delamere and the pair share three children together.
Louise, 54, is known for roles including Lia in Channel 4 comedy No Angels, as well as her stint as Colette Sheward in Holby City between 2013 and 2014. She also starred on Waterloo Road as Marion James from 2009 to 2011. Speaking about his relationship with Louise, Stephen recalled the pair’s first date.
