The 1975‘s Matty Healy has spoken out after a sample of his voice at the NME Awards 2020 was used in Slowthai‘s recent track ‘Enemy’.
The song, which arrived earlier this month, opens with a sample of Healy addressing the audience after Slowthai’s appearance at the event was marred in controversy.

Right about now, Matty Healy, the lead singer of British pop-rockers The 1975, would likely be tinkering with the band’s setlist, trying to figure out how to cram as many songs from their ambitious fourth album, Notes On A Conditional Form, into a sprawling two-hour show.
This Friday, The 1975's fourth album Notes On A Conditional Form finally arrives in its entirety, following a rollout that began last summer. "There's a lot of talk about why the album got pushed back, and all these kind of things," Healy told us. "It's kind of irrelevant. The premise of my idea was always really to just continuously have a real time expression."
