Super-fit parents Alex Gonzalez and Lewis Black, whose sons Conrad and Theo attend Springholm Nursery, will be taking part in the Glenogle Ultra on November 5.
They are keen to support the nursery in developing and improving children’s health and wellbeing through fun and exciting exercise.
Lewis has been spreading the word about the nursery and along with Alex has raised money for various charities throughout their running careers.
They are experienced runners and have set up a fundraising page on Facebook for Nursery Outdoor Equipment.
Meanwhile, Ross Anderson of Frothy Bike in Dumfries has donated two balance bikes and Travis Perkins in Castle Douglas donated two large tarpaulins to replace old ones that cover the gates in the outdoor area.
Nursery manager Rosemary Anderson said: “We really appreciate everyone’s efforts, support and donations.
“We can’t wait to see what Alex and Lewis’ efforts achieve.
“We would like to wish them both good luck on their run.”
