Amy Dowden has said 'that's it' as she reached the halfway mark in her chemotherapy treatment. The Strictly Come Dancing star has been keeping her fans and followers updated on her journey after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 33-year-old announced in June that she had undergone a mastectomy after revealing she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer after finding a lump in her right breast. She then later discovered that doctors had found another type of cancer and has since been documenting her chemotherapy treatment journey on social media.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday (September 14), Amy shared a selfie showing her holding up four fingers to the camera. "Chemo number 4!" she typed alongside the image before adding: "Halfway mark."

"Chemo 4," she started to write alongside a green tick emoji. "Was extremely sick immediately even with three types of anti sickness. Very tired too. Going to be resting up." She then shared a picture taken during her treatment as the chemo was pumped into her body.
"But that's it for Red Devil," she typed, using the nickname for the chemotherapy drug. "Next time moving onto another type of chemo," Amy explained. The update came after she shared a sweet tribute to her mum, vowing they'll be able to celebrate her birthday together "soon".
