Netflix canceled 5 TV shows on Wednesday (November 15), and news of these major moves just broke.
The reasons given for these cancellations? Deadline is reporting that the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes have caused delays, which then caused some of these projects to miss their projected start dates.
In addition, there’s a series “performance vs. cost” algorithm Netflix uses to determine if a show makes the cut. The site is also reporting that, during this time of “increased financial scrutiny,” more cuts could be coming.
