Selena Gomez revealed some big Wizards news at the Disney Upfront on Tuesday (May 14) in New York City!
The 31-year-old Disney star took to the stage to unveil the official title for the new reboot/sequel series of her mega hit series Wizards of Waverly Place.
She will, of course, be reprising her role as Alex Russo in a guest star capacity, and she will also serve as an executive producer alongside co-star and on-screen brother David Henrie, who also reprises his role as Justin Russo as a series regular.

Officially titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the new series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.
David Henrie will be reprising his role as Justin Russo as a series regular and executive producer, while Selena will also executive produce and reprise her role as Alex Russo in a guest star capacity. She is set to appear in the first episode of the series.
As previously announced, Janice LeAnn Brown will lead the series as Billie, with Mimi Gianopulos as Justin’s wife Giada Russo, and playing his children are Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo and Max Matenko as Milo Russo.
It was just announced that newcomer Taylor Cora will join as a series regular, playing Winter, Billie’s bubbly, quirky and oversharing best friend.

Netflix‘s upcoming comedy series from Erin Foster, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, has gotten a title, release date and a first-look photo.
