Police have sealed off a Scots street after a man was rushed to hospital following an alleged attack. Authorities were called to Dumbarton Road in Glasgow at around 1.45am on Sunday, January 1, following reports that two men had been attacked outside Sanctuary nightclub.
A 20-year-old man was taken from the scene to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after suffering serious injuries. His condition is described as serious but stable.
A second 20-year-old male was also taken to the hospital following the incident but was released following treatment. Glasgow Live reports that officers were still at the scene at around 9.30am this morning.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch and assist with their enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 20-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries, where his condition is described as being serious but stable.
“Enquiries are ongoing and police are encouraging anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact them via 101 quoting incident 0648 of 1 January, 2023.”
