A new Easter treat from Sainsbury's has left shoppers divided - with some even suggesting the supermarket has "gone too far."
It's that time of year when supermarkets look to attract shoppers with exciting new Easter sweet and savoury options, including chocolate eggs and a variety of hot cross buns.
And it looks like Sainsbury's has decided to combine both flavours for a truly unique mixture - but it has not gone down well with some shoppers.
As part of their "Easter Bunny On the Go Snacks" range shoppers can purchase carrot sticks with a side of chocolate flavoured houmous.
The interesting £1 snack was shared to the Snack News and Reviews Facebook page where it quickly attracted the attention of shoppers, reports Liverpool Echo.
Featuring carrot batons and a cocoa powder based houmous, the foodie snack has divided most of Sainsbury's shoppers who were quick to voice their thoughts.
"Please Jesus come back soon. Just throw the whole world in the bin and be done. You've taken it too far", exclaimed one unimpressed shopper.
"Not sure how I feel about this…xx", commented a second.
"No just no", said a third.
However, there were a few adventurous shoppers who were willing to give the sweet and savoury snack combo a go.
"abit of me tbh", commented one.
"shall we try this xx", said another who tagged their friend.
Another added that they "need to buy" the new snack.
Sainsbury's £1 carrot sticks and chocolate houmous is available in-stores and online now.
