Robbie Coltrane has sadly passed away at the age of 72.
The Scottish-born actor and comedian was best known for playing Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies.
Robbie‘s agents at WME confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, but no other details about his death are known at this time.
In addition to starring in all eight of the Harry Potter movies, Robbie is also known for his role as Dr. Edward “Fitz” Fitzgerald in the series Cracker, for which he won three BAFTA awards.
