The presenter who fainted live on air during a political debate on TalkTV yesterday has issued an update on her health. Kate McCann was hosting the latest Tory leadership debate between Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak when the incident occurred.
Truss looked on in horror during yesterday's dramatic show, as Kate fainted right in front of her. Now the presenter has broken her silence, giving an update on her health as she confirmed she'd be returning to TV tonight.
"Well that wasn't how last night was supposed to end! Thanks everyone for the lovely messages - I'm fine now - and apologies to @trussliz and @RishiSunak for cutting the debate short," she wrote on Twitter. "Tonight I'll be unpicking the debate with some new polling from 7pm ( ...yes, sat down!)."

Kate will be joined by Kate Ferguson, former Number 10 Deputy Head of Policy Will Tanner and Deputy Editor of ConservativeHome Henry Hill, to discuss the politics of the day and yesterday's debate, reports the Mirror.
Viewers were stunned yesterday, unaware initially of what had happened as Liz rushed to check on Kate after hearing a loud bang and seeing the interviewer collapse in front of them. She was visibly shocked, as she halted her answer midway through a sentence, and rushed over to help.
Rishi Sunak also helped Kate, holding her hand as they waited for medical attention. Kate wasn't hurt in the incident, but The Sun and TalkTV confirmed they would not resume the debate following medical advice.
