Police are appealing for witnesses, after a motorcyclist was left in a 'serious' condition following a crash on the A82 at Luss yesterday (August 10).
The key route was closed for several hours as emergency teams worked at the scene, with a 59-year-old Honda rider rushed to hospital in Glasgow.
At around 2.15pm, a Honda motorbike ridden by a 59-year-old man was involved in a collision with a Mercedes A-class being driven by a 31-year-old man near the A82 junction with Culag.
Police and Ambulance services raced to the scene, and the injured motorcyclist was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where staff describe his condition as serious.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “This is a busy road and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash take place to contact us. I believe there are drivers who may have left the scene before police arrived and I would urge them to phone us as they may have information that will assist our investigation.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone with dash-cam or personal footage. Anyone with information is asked to please contact us through 101 quoting reference number 2059 of 10 August.”
