Haaland's arrival this summer was seen by many as potentially the final piece of the jigsaw in City's attempt to win the Champions League. If the 22-year-old's first European outing for the Blues was anything to go by, that prediction could well finally come true this season.
Hargreaves waxed lyrical about Haaland's performance on Tuesday night, as the former Manchester United player picked out a key attribute the striker has away from his natural goalscoring ability.
Discussing Haaland's second goal of the night, Hargreaves told BT Sport: "Look at his awareness. Look how many times he checks his shoulder. It’s fantastic and the awareness of what is around him, and once he has found that space in the pocket, you are never going to catch him.
"I think we talk about his finishing, but he peels to the back and he knows it’s coming there, he feels it. Okay, he is lucky it falls to him, but he has a feeling of the moment and where the ball is going to end up, and you can’t teach that."
