A new mum has spoken of her determination to get on with living after she was given a devastating cancer diagnosis just a month before her wedding day.
Faye Walsh, 32, who has a one-year-old son, Arlie, with her partner, Chris, was told in December that she has stage 4 terminal bowel cancer which had spread to her liver. She had been due to get married in January, but had to postpone her big day.
Faye and her family were due to emigrate to Australia for a new life when they received the awful news. She had been ill for some time but it took a long while before she was finally diagnosed. Now she wants other people to 'push for answers' from medical professionals if they find themselves feeling constantly ill with no obvious cause, saying she feels she 'wasn't listened to'.

During the procedure, Faye was able to look at the colonoscopy screen and saw something which made her worried. "I could see on the screen, without them saying anything. It went silent. I knew straight away even though they had told me not to worry and that it was not going to be cancer."
When she was told she had a cancerous tumour, she felt devastated. A CT scan revealed that the cancer had spread
