Netflix Unveils Trailer for ‘History of Swear Words’ Hosted by Nicolas Cage (TV New Roundup)

Netflix on Friday released a trailer for the romantic dramaMalcolm & Marie. Starring Zendaya (Euphoria) and John David Washington (BlackKklansman, Tenet), the black-and-white film follows how a director's relationship with his girlfriend is tested when they return home from a movie premiere and await responses from critics.

Army of the Dead is set to be a major franchise, with the main film directed by the Justice League filmmaker, a prequel movie and a four-part anime series coming that stars the main film's cast. Finally, some promo is starting to come out for it, in the form of two stills showing off the cast, led by Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista.

When Netflix forked over however much money it cost to produce “The History of Swear Words,” the premise and pitch must have seemed like a no-brainer.

From his taste in scripts to his acting choices, there are plenty of reasons to question Nicolas Cage, but one thing the Oscar-winning actor and direct-to-video icon can rarely be accused of is phoning in a performance.
