Murder suspect named after dad found collapsed in McDonald's dies

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 38-year-old dad in Blackpool.
Daniel Allsop was found collapsed in McDonalds on Bank Hey Road on Monday (October 2). Police said they believed he had been 'assaulted' a short time earlier at around 4.30pm on Bethesda Road.
Daniel tragically died on Wednesday night. A post-mortem found his cause of death was blunt force trauma, Lancashire Police said.

On Friday, a 29-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of murder. On Sunday evening, Mali Wright, 29, was charged with murder.
He has been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Blackpool Magistrates' Court this morning. Daniel's family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Following his death, his family said: "We lost a son, dad, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin. He passed peacefully surrounded by his immediate family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him."
Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses, anyone who has footage, or anyone who saw anything suspicious on Bethesda Road, to come forward.
