Meghan Markle Says She Was an ‘Ugly Duckling’ in High School

Prince William, heir to the British throne, and Prince Harry have had a tumultuous relationship over the past several years. After the infamous "Megxit," which resulted in Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepping down as senior royals and moving to California, the brothers' relationship was strained. Julie Montagu, an American who is a viscountess, shared with Fox News Digital that there is hope in the U.K.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been "uninvited" to a state reception hosted by King Charles III – Harry's father and the new reigning Monarch. It's understood that the couple initially received an invite to a state reception for world leaders and foreign royals tomorrow evening, however, it's reportedly now been revoked.The reason being is said to be due to the fact that Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, are no longer officially working members of the royal family, after they stepped down in 2020.

Meghan Markle has a partner who will come to her defense! In the third episode of her podcast, the Duchess of Sussex shares with guest Mindy Kaling how her husband, Prince Harry, reacted to the idea of people saying she was lucky to be in a relationship with him.While chatting with star about how women are sometimes convinced that a man choosing them shows their worth, the 41-year-old royal shared how she and her husband pushed back that notion.  “When I started dating my husband, when we became engaged, everyone was like, ‘Oh My god, you’re just so lucky he chose you.’ And a certain point, after you hear it a million times over, you’re like, ‘Well, I chose him too,’” Meghan shares.

Meghan Markle did not grow up as a princess — even though she might act like one now!

Meghan Markle revealed in her most recent podcast episode she was an "ugly duckling" in high school, and she never had "anyone to sit with" during lunch. Markle spoke with Mindy Kaling for the third episode of her Spotify podcast "Archetypes."  The Duchess of Sussex noted that she did not consider herself to have conventional beauty during her high school years. "Look, maybe not conventional beauty as it…now, maybe that would be seen as beautiful but massive frizzy curly hair and a huge gap in my teeth that, um," she said before adding, "I was the smart one.

The Duchess of Sussex has talked of her childhood as a 'latchkey kid' in a new Archetypes podcast episode released on Spotify. In conversation with American actress Mindy Kaling, Meghan, who is currently on an unofficial Royal tour with Prince Harry, described how she was “alone so much as a child” and was a “latchkey kid”.The conversation arose as Meghan talked about her favourite childhood reading material, saying she romanticised the Archie comics because she wanted the “cookie cutter-looking perfect life”.The duchess said: “I was alone so much as a child, right, and also a latchkey kid, and I think I read a lot of Archie comic books ironically.

ongoing feud with the royal family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem happy to be back in the United Kingdom. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Manchester, England, on Monday to attend the One Young World Summit. Markle wore a bright red jumpsuit for the event, and began her speech to the cheering crowd by saying, «It is very nice to be back in the U.K., and it is very nice to be back with all of you at One World.» The speech, which officially opened the summit, was the 41-year-old duchess' first in the U.K.

Putting their differences aside. Prince Harry and William are honoring Princess Diana like they always have, despite ongoing tensions between the brothers. A source close to the Royal brothers revealed that they would be celebrating their mother’s legacy in the same manner.

Meghan Markle is getting candid about growing up as a bi-racial woman. During episode 2 of her podcast titled, the duchess and the songstress broke down their upbringing as women with Black and white parents and navigating a world where it was hard to fit in.  Markle, 41, who has a Black mother and a white father, revealed that the duality of her ethnicity was always acknowledged, until she began her relationship with Prince Harry. “If there’s any time in my life that it’s been more focused on my race, it’s only when I started dating my husband,” she tells Carey.
