Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have touched down in Los Angeles after a whirlwind 72-hour tour of Nigeria, where they attended various charity events, delivered a powerful speech on mental health, and met with injured servicemen and key figures.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a brief stopover in London before heading to the States, but did not meet with any members of the Royal Family, marking another perceived snub towards King Charles.
Now back on American soil, Meghan and Harry are set to reunite with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are believed to have been staying with their grandmother Doria Ragland during their parents' Nigerian visit.
Despite their short stay in the UK prior to landing in LA, the couple did not reconnect with the Royal Family, following recent reports of tension surrounding Harry's alleged snub of King Charles.
Last week, the duke returned to the UK solo to participate in engagements for the Invictus Games. Reports suggested that Harry had hoped to see his father during this time, but the monarch was reportedly too occupied, reports the Mirror.
A spokesperson for Harry stated at the time: "It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
