Due to a shortage in key ingredients, a wide range of McDonald's burgers are being subject to 'rationing' in some branches.
This is mainly due to the fast-food giant experiencing a shortage of tomatoes. It affects the Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with Bacon which is being served with one slice of tomato rather than the regular two.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “We are currently experiencing a shortage in our supply of tomatoes. As a result, the Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with Bacon are being served with one slice of tomato rather than two. We apologise for any inconvenience, and thank our customers for their patience."

It comes after the launch of the Big Tasty as a limited edition item which only came out earlier this month. It is not the first time a limited edition item has run a short course with the Chicken Big Mac running out after just one week.
The Big Tasty BBQ has an RRP of £6.89 for a medium meal, £5.39 for a single burger. Costs will vary depending on the branch, however. It's made with 100 per cent British and Irish beef topped with two slices of Emmental cheese, bacon, lettuce, crispy onions and Big Tasty BBQ sauce inside a sesame seed bun.
