Singer Marianne Faithfull is reportedly recovering after being treated for COVID-19 in London.
Reps for the singer behind such songs as “Broken English” and “As Tears Go By” announced via Twitter that she’d been discharged from hospital after 22 days. “She will continue to recuperate in London,” the tweet adds.
In the tweet, Faithfull shared her gratitude “to all the NHS staff who cared for her at the hospital and, without doubt, saved her life.”

English singer-songwriter Marianne Faithfull has been discharged from a London hospital after being treated for coronavirus.The announcement, posted to Faithfull’s social media accounts Wednesday (April 22), said the 73-year-old was released after being hospitalized for 22 days.“She will continue to recuperate in London. Marianne thanks you all for your kind messages of concern which have meant a great deal through what is a such a difficult time for so many,” the statement read.
Even though they only had mild symptoms, Idris Elba says he and his wife had their lives “turned around” after contracting the coronavirus, calling the experience “definitely scary and unsettling and nervous.”
Boris Johnson is out of the hospital.
