It's one of country music's biggest nights as the CMT Music Awards celebrate some of the biggest achievements in the genre's music videos produced over the last year. The event was certainly star-studded with appearances from Luke Bryan to Carrie Underwood and beyond.

The Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards are here. The star-studded event kicked off from Nashville, Tenn., Wednesday evening with a performance by Lady A.The trio was joined onstage by Carly Pearce and Lindsay Ell.  Ell stepped in after Gabby Barrett bowed out, citing "personal circumstances." Cameras then took viewers to a farm where Chris Stapleton performed "Arkansas."  Following the two performances, hosts Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini took the stage.

Yee-haw! Country stars traded in their cowboy boots for couture, making the 2021 CMT Music Awards a seriously glamorous event. 

Country music takes center stage! The 2021 CMT Music Awards let fans decide which artists take home the trophies, with a few artists walking away with a collection of honors.

“Due to a scheduling conflict, I will not be performing at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday,” Maren Morris wrote on her Instagram Story on June 8. “I know JP Saxe will slay it and I am so excited for his album to come out soon!” Earlier this year, Maren and JP released the duet “Line By Line,” which JP will be singing at the CMT Awards. Since Maren can’t make it, he’ll be joined by Ingrid Andress, 29, instead.
