Bernardo Silva has been tasked with picking his all-time Portuguese Premier League XI, and he wasn't short of options.
Asking by Manchester City’s official YouTube channel why so many Portuguese players have plied their trade in the Premier League, Bernardo said it was a no-brainer.
He said: “Well, it’s the best league in the world, so competitive and the standards are really high.
"So it’s good that we’re having more players at the moment in England, it means that the level of our players are high and it’s getting better. Definitely a good sign.”
So, with that in mind, here's the purely Portuguese Premier League line-up...
Goalkeeper – Rui Patricio
Bernardo said: “He has been the Portuguese goalkeeper for a long time so yeah I’m gonna go for him.”
Right Back – Paulo Ferreira
Bernardo said: “He was here for a long long time and won a lot of things.”
Centre Backs – Ruben Dias and Ricardo Carvalho
Bernardo on Carvalho: “I played with Ricardo[Carvalho] in Monaco, unbelievable player, and a great guy aswell.”
Bernardo on Dias: “Ruben Dias number 3, the best centre back in the world.”
Left Back – Joao Cancelo
Bernardo said: “He’s going to kill me because I didn’t put him at right back but he’s so good that he can play left right so he’s going to be on the left.”
