A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a house.
She is said by police to be fighting for her life in hospital.
Police were called by the ambulance service to a property on Saxelby Drive, Crumpsall, at around 1pm on Monday.
The air ambulance also landed on nearby playing fields.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital by ambulance 'with life-threatening stab wounds', Greater Manchester Police said.
There's been no further update on her
