Man arrested as 25-year-old taken to hospital after delivery driver robbery

A man has been arrested after a delivery driver was robbed in Gorton last night. Police were called to Darras Road just after 9pm on Saturday night (June 11) following reports of the robbery.
Officers attended the scene alongside crews from North West Ambulance Service. A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed a male has been arrested in connection to the incident and their investigation is continuing. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The road was closed for a number of hours while a number of police vehicles were pictured at the scene. Residents were seen behind the tape as investigations continued, with CID cops also in attendance.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Officers were called just after 9pm last night (11 June 2022) to a report of a robbery on a delivery driver on Darras Road in Manchester. Emergency services attended and a 25-year-old man was taken to hospital and received minor injuries.
“One male has been arrested and the investigation is on-going. Enquiries are on-going and anyone with information is asked to report it online or via LiveChat at www.gmp.police.uk .”
