The Lopez family will have more time to deal with their issues and engagements after Lopez vs. Lopez was renewed for a third season at NBC.
The move comes as NBC has also handed a series order to Happy’s Place, the comedy starring Reba McEntire. Extended Family has been canceled.
This solidifies NBC’s comedy plans for the 2024/25 season, which also include the return of Night Court for a third season.
In its second season, which ended at in April, Mayan and the Lopez family underwent big changes while George took his first step in sobriety.

NBC said that the show reached nearly 10 million total viewers across all platforms and is the highest-indexing broadcast program among English-dominant Hispanic households.
Starring George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Matt Shively, Brice Gonzalez and Al Madrigal, it was co-created by Debby Wolfe, who exec produces alongside Bruce Helford, George Lopez, Michael Rotenberg and Katie Newman.

It’s official: The Conners will be getting a proper goodbye. The Roseanne follow-up has been renewed for seventh and final season. As Deadline reported exclusively last week, the order is believed to be for six episodes, with the main cast, including John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson, expected to return. The renewal took longer to finalize because dates for the cast, particularly Goodman, had to be worked out, I hear.
