Lea Michele is back on Broadway after being sidelined from Funny Girl due to a bout of COVID-19.
The 36-year-old actress only performed four shows of the classic musical before having to miss 10 days of work. She’s now back in the show and the official production photos have been released!
Lea is starring as Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage. Everyone told her she’d never be a star, but then something funny happened—she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway.
Throughout the show, Lea gets to perform musical numbers like “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star,” and “People,” all of which she sang on Glee.
Lea is performing as Fanny Brice seven times a week on Broadway while alternate Julie Benko is performing the role every Thursday. Get your tickets now!
