Her Majesty was presenting a book to a ten-year-old school student named Emily Clay when she asked the school girl if she looks after her young sister, according to Town & Country.
Emily's mother replied: "It's the other way around," to which the late monarch chimed in: "It's like that with Charlotte and George".
Charlotte is known to look after her brothers while they are on royal engagements and has even been seen making sure they are following royal protocol, the Mirror reports.
The nine-year-old is especially protective of her younger brother, little Prince Louis.
