The line is thought to be a symbol of an attempt at reconciliation, after a troubled history between the Sussexes and the royal family.
Within his address, King Charles also confirmed that the late-Queen's funeral would take place in "a little over a week's time", although no firm date has been announced yet for the event. He also paid tribute to his "darling mama", and thanked people for their condolences and support following the death of his "beloved mother".
