The royal family gathered at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday to remember the late Prince Philip in a Service of Thanksgiving. The service was held to accommodate a larger group of people after the Duke of Edinburgh’s April 2021 funeral was forced to be cut back due to COVID-19 protocols.

Prince William and Kate Middleton usually receive a warm welcome wherever they go but this hasn’t always been the case on their Caribbean tour.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were jammin’ when they visited the home of the late music icon Bob Marley on Tuesday (Mar. 22). On the fourth day of William, 39, and Kate’s tour of the Caribbean, as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to the Trench Town neighborhood of Kingston, the birthplace of reggae music. While at Marley’s home – which has been converted into a museum in honor of the musician and political activist – Kate, 40, and William played the drums along with some local musicians. As Bob Marley once sang, “Who Feels it, knows it,” and judging by the smiles on Kate and William’s faces, they were feeling the joy of the music.

Kate Middleton and Prince William enjoyed their first full day of their Caribbean tour with a visit to a cacao farm in Belize on Sunday.  Their visit replaced another planned outing to a different cacao farm, which was canceled on Friday after villagers protested the royal’s arrival.  According to local reports, a protest was staged on Friday opposing the royal visit to Akte ’il Ha cacao farm in Indian Creek village in the foothills of the Maya Mountains. Belize news outlet Channel 7 reported that there was a dispute between village residents and Flora and Fauna International, a conservation charity William supports as patron.

Queen Elizabeth II was not in attendance. The 40-year-old Duchess of Cambridge dazzled in a stunning royal blue Catherine Walker coat and matching Sean Barratt hat for the occasion.

The British Royal family was on-hand for the Commonwealth Day festivities at Westminster Abbey on Monday (Mar. 14), but it wasn’t that huge of a showing this year. Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, were there, along with William’s father, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. However, notable family members like Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Queen Elizabeth II were absent. Though Queen Elizabeth, 95, recently battled COVID-19, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday (Mar. 11) that she would not attend the service due to mobility issues, per The Mirror.

Kate Middleton is thought to have ‘shed a tear’ after a comment from Prince Harry on her wedding day. Prince William and Kate married at Westminster Abbey in a ceremony in front of thousands of guests that was televised to millions of people around the world. However, they still managed to give the wedding a personal touch, thanks in part to the speech given by William’s best man, brother Prince Harry, at the reception.

To mark St David's day this year, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Abergavenny and Blaenavon in Wales, a place close to their hearts. As newlyweds, the pair lived in Anglesey where William worked as a search and rescue pilot plus, of course, the pair will one day be the Prince and Princess of Wales.
