A$AP Rocky charged with assault over alleged 2021 shooting incident

A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) has been charged with assault in Los Angeles, less than a week after former A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli (real name Terell Ephron) claimed he was shot by the rapper last November. The news was confirmed by a statement from Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, who on August 15 said that his office had filed charges against Mayers for two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm with allegations of personally using a firearm.“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences,” Gascón said, “not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood. My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”The alleged shooting itself went unreported, however back in April, Mayers was arrested for the incident after being detained at Los Angeles International Airport.

WWE Says Vince McMahon, Under Investigation for Alleged Misconduct, Made Personal Payments Totaling $19.6 Million

Todd Spangler NY Digital EditorVince McMahon’s off-the-books payments while he was chairman and CEO of WWE were higher than previously reported, the company said.Last month, WWE announced that it would revise its financial statements going back to 2019 because $14.6 million of “certain payments” that McMahon made while chairman and CEO should have been recorded as expenses. That was three days after McMahon said he was retiring from WWE, an announcement that came amid an ongoing investigation into allegations that he paid millions of dollars in hush money to multiple women to keep quiet about alleged affairs and misconduct. In an SEC filing Tuesday, WWE disclosed that since the July 25 announcement, it determined that McMahon made two additional payments totaling $5 million — unrelated to the allegations that led to the special committee investigation — in 2007 and 2009 should also have been recorded in the company’s consolidated financial statements.

Kevin Spacey Ordered to Pay $31 Million to ‘House of Cards’ Producer for Alleged Sexual Misconduct

Ethan Shanfeld A judge has ordered Kevin Spacey to pay “House of Cards” production company MRC nearly $31 million for alleged sexual misconduct behind the scenes of the Netflix White House drama.Spacey, who played Frank Underwood, was kicked off the series during its sixth season after facing allegations that he had sexually assaulted and preyed upon young men, including a “House of Cards” production assistant who said Spacey groped him, prompting MRC’s investigation.Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mel Red Recana confirmed an award previously handed down by an arbitrator in October 2020, which consisted of around $29.5 million in damages and $1.5 million in costs and fees.MRC had argued that Spacey owed them millions in lost profits because his misconduct forced them to remove him from the sixth season of the show, and it had to trim the season from 13 episodes to eight. Ruling in the producer’s favor, the arbitrator found that Spacey’s behavior constituted a material breach of his agreements as an actor and executive producing agreements.
