Jessica Simpson is calling out all the public scrutiny surrounding her weight.
In a new interview with Access Hollywood on Friday (August 25), the 43-year-old performer told the outlet that she feels the conversation around her weight is unnecessary.

“I think it just doesn’t need to be a conversation,” Jessica told the outlet.
She noted since she’s been “every size,” she empathizes with women who face criticism about their bodies. However, she noted: “I wish I could explain it. I wish I could say for me that it’s gotten better, but it still remains the same.”
Jessica went on to say that the scrutiny has been very confusing for her kids, who she shares with husband Eric Johnson. The couple are parents to Maxwell, 11, Ace, 10, and Birdie, 4.
“I tell my kids, ‘How you feel about yourself is how you should feel,’” she explained. “It’s not about … You don’t dress for anybody else. You don’t try to look like anybody else.”
