Jason Oppenheim is responding to fans who think he faked a phone call during season five of Selling Sunset.
A screenshot from the episode shows that Jason‘s phone has his camera app open while his phone is held up to his ear, leading viewers to believe he faked the call.

TMZ caught up with Jason and asked him about the controversial moment.
“It was not a fake phone call. I think my camera…or something, on the front. Still, not a fake phone call,” Jason said.
TMZ had Jason call someone while his camera app was open to prove he was correct.
“It’s ringing. Listen,” Jason said. “The call is on right now. It’s not that complicated. I know that it was a real call.”
