EastEnders actress June Brown was married to her second husband Robert Arnold for 45 years, but after he died, the former decided she never wanted to tie the knot again. The late soap star, who sadly died April 3 at the age of 95, revealed that after more than four decades together, she just "couldn't be bothered" to try again once she became a widow. June shared six children with Robert, and the late couple were happily married until his death in 2003. In an exclusive interview with OK! back in 2010, June opened up on her love life, career, and even revealed whether she and BBC character Dot Cotton were similar.
Asked why she'd never sought love again, June explained at the time: "I'm not awfully sure because I've been on my own for seven years now. "Truthfully, I can't be bothered," the star admitted in her wonderful trademark wit. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter.
Icon June, who played laundry-woman Dot Cotton in EastEnders for a whopping 35 years, also spoke about her struggles with her and Robert's daughter Chloe, who suffered from health issues. June said it was her faith in Christianity that helped her through such a tough time with her child. “She was blind and deaf and she couldn't balance because she was paralysed down one side," June explained.
"I asked for the light of God to go through her eyes and the blood of Jesus to heal her ears." Within a fortnight the star's daughter was crawling. Chloe had been named after June and Robert's first daughter, who sadly died in infancy following a premature birth. As well as Chloe, June and Robert also shared three other daughters named Louise, Naomi and Sophie, and a son named William. The couple
