The UK is now in what is dubbed a 'buyer's market', which sees house prices fall as buyers have more power over pricing. Across the country, the average price of a property has fallen considerably in some areas which makes finding a cheap home much more likely.
A terraced house has come on the market with a bargain guide price of £30,000, and it is set to go to auction in December. The two-bed property is considered to be a 'doer-upper' as it is in need of a full renovation, but it has the potential to be transformed into a lovely home.

Surrounded by open countryside and popular with commuters, the Rossendale borough was recently named one of Britain's 'house price hotspots' by Halifax. This came from Halifax’s house price index, which was carried out for than 300 local authority areas in July, August and September, and was then compared with data covering the same period in 2022.
Rossendale was one of the 10 areas with the biggest house price rises. Over the last year, the average house price across Rossendale has gone up by almost 7 percent, a rise of around £12,440.
