'I was offered private therapy after being naive on Married At First Sight,' says Morag

Married At First Sight UK's Morag Crichton has opened up on her time on the hit Channel 4 show, admitting that she went in there "so naive" over what to expect from the experience. Morag, 31, who is a veterinary nurse, was paired up with firefighter Luke, 36, and they wed in the second episode of the 2021 series. Despite several ups and downs between the couple, they decided to tough it out until the commitment ceremony – but then went their separate ways.
Following their time on the show, things went downhill quite quickly as Luke fumed he was "played" by her, while she claimed he never called her. Now, nearly a year on, Morag has spoken out on their time together, which led producers into offering her private therapy over scenes that played out both on and off screen. "If they asked me to go on another show, I would because I won't go in there so naive.
I'm not going to go in and think, 'Oh my God, they're going to match me up with my perfect guy!'" she told OK! magazine at the launch of Bertie Garratt's clothing label WHSKY. She continued: "I went in there so naive thinking it was going to work. I stuck around with the wrong guy because I was naive.They take all of that information of what you want and they go and find the opposite.
"The thing with me and Luke was I stuck around thinking, 'They must have put us together for a reason,' again with the naivety when really I should've packed my bags on the honeymoon." Moragwent on to speak about the aftercare from the show as much like other reality shows such as Love Island, Married At First Sight also has psychiatrists on hand to help the cast through difficult moments.
