Footage has emerged of the horrifying 999 call made by neighbours as they tried to save a dad-of-two who was mauled to death by two dogs.
Ian Price tragically died after being attacked by what is believed to have been XL Bullies just a stone's throw from his family home.
The 52-year-old had been visiting his mum who lives across the street when the dogs escaped from a neighbouring property in Stonnall, Staffordshire, reports the The Mirror.
Brave members of the public stepped in when they heard Ian's screams as he was attacked, and the two dogs tore his clothes from his body.
Mr Price sustained a number of life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but he could not be saved and passed away. His wife Heather, 50, was a teaching assistant at the village's primary school - which was put into lockdown during the attack.
A 30-year-old man from south Staffordshire has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and being in charge of dogs dangerously out of control causing injury. He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Now footage of what is believed to be of the attack has been shared on social media where neighbours can be heard making the 999 call.
In amongst the shouts and screams, one person can be heard saying: "hello there, yep ..." before they confirm the address that the attack is happening at. They continue: "... and there's two dogs attacking a man ... very, very serious ..." his words are then blocked out by another neighbour, screaming for someone to do something. He then, after listening for a prolonged period, asks the operator: "Are you aware of the seriousness though?"
