Harry Styles’ ‘One Night Only in New York’ Concert to Livestream on Apple Music

Harry Styles has made his latest music video with James Corden for $300 (£238).The video was made as part of a segment on The Late Late Show with Corden and saw the pair knocking on various doors in a New York neighbourhood trying to find an apartment that they could use for the shoot.After a while, the pair stumbled on a group of four shocked flatmates, one of whom was also a Styles fan, who welcomed Corden and Styles into their home. This month-long series aims to support songwriters, established musicians, emerging artists, and NYC’s entire musical community, many of whom were severely impacted by the pandemic.

The award, created in 2004, was named in honor of SHOF chairman emeritus Hal David for his support of young songwriters.The ceremony, the first since 2019, is slated for Thursday, June 16 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Harry Styles is sharing his appreciation for fellow musician Billie Eilish, revealing that it was her who “broke the spell” of him feeling lost as a young artist, making the transition into stardom and becoming one of the most successful singers.He also explained that he was not sure if he could gain success after being in the fan-favorite band One Direction, confessing that he struggled with thinking about still being relevant, as he wanted to take the next step in his career.“For a while, it was like, ‘How do you play that game, of like, remaining exciting?’ And I just had a moment where I felt like, ‘OK, we’re not the same thing.’ And in the same vein of, like, ‘You’re not always going to be the kind of young thing,’ I was like, ‘OK, I would really like to think about who I would like to be as a musician.’”The 28-year-old artist, who is enjoying the success of his new project, says he is “incredibly thankful to her,” and while he still has not been able to talk to her about what she represents for him, he is definitely inspired by her, adding that Billie “just totally broke the spell” for him in a way that he is “very grateful for.”“I definitely had a really big moment, I think, when Billie Eilish kind of first blew up. Earlier this month, Harry Styles announced "One Night Only In New York," a concert at UBS Arena to celebrate the release of his third studio album Harry's House on May 20. Tickets were only $25, and I haven't checked Ticketmaster, but I'm going to assume they're all sold out. However, Apple Music subscribers will be able to livestream the concert from home.

The day before, on May 20, the Empire State Building, in partnership with Bad Boy / Atlantic / Rhino Records, will host a ceremony that will include Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, his children (CJ and Tyanna Wallace), his close friend James Lloyd (Lil’ Cease), and Kimberly Denise Jones (Lil Kim). Other close friends, collaborators, and hip-hop luminaries, that were instrumental in Biggie’s meteoric success and legacy will also be in attendance.

The singer, who shot to fame as one-fifth of the X Factor boyband, has got his loyal followers talking following the release of an interview with Zane Lowe.

It features a score of songs written and made famous by female artists and female-fronted bands from the BMG catalog, including Blondie, P!nk, Avril Lavigne, Pat Benatar and Sleater-Kinney, along with the title song, the Dead Milkmen’s 1988’s “Punk Rock Girl”; the full tracklist appears below.

Styles will continue his residencies in New York City for ten nights at Madison Square Garden, Austin for five nights at Moody Center, and Chicago for five nights at United Center, before wrapping up at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum for 10 night run concluding on Tuesday, November 15th.

The song was co-written with longtime collaborator Ludvig Söderberg.“When you’re with someone for a long time and it ends all of all sudden, it’s like a part of you has died,” Lo says of the song.

Tickets are on sale Friday.The duo recently released the official music video for their single “Tierra.” The video stars Bomba singer Liliana Saumet and Lukas Avendaño, a nonbinary Zapotec indigenous performance artist, and was directed by Fana Adjani.The song is from Bomba’s recent Grammy-nominated album, “Deja.”  “This album has a very special aura,” Bomba’s founder Simon Mejia Simon says.
