Good Morning Britain fans have been left convinced that Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid have fallen out as he continues to miss the ITV morning show. The 66 year old presenter was absent from Monday 27 June morning’s episode after Adil Ray stood in with Susanna, 51 as co-host.
ITV viewers are convinced this is due to a rumoured feud between the two presenters. Fans flocked to Twitter to comment on his frequent absence as one wrote: "Beginning to look like Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid have fallen out." Another added: "This alleged feud between Madeley and Reid is really benefitting you work wise, eh Adil?" Susanna had returned to the show after a week off, but fans seemed pleased that Richard had not joined her as they spotted some tension between the duo.The co-hosts often have on-air disagreements as their opinions on the news of the day tend to clash. The heavy atmosphere on the show was briefly mentioned and a viewer claimed Susanna gave Richard a “disgusting look.” Another fan spotted that Susanna tried to shush her co-host when he began speaking in French.
Rumours of their feud began back at the BAFTA Television Awards when the duo did not pose for any photos together. Susanna and Richard were nominated for a gong after their impressive interview with former ISIS member Shamima Begum.
Despite their success, Richard arrived on the red carpet alone, while Susanna walked out with all her other Good Morning Britain co-stars. Since then, Richard has also missed numerous morning shows and been replaced by Adil, Ben Shepherd and Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis.
