Cops are hunting fire yobs after a shisha bar in Glasgow was torched. Elixir Lounge and Restaurant on the corner of Wallace Street and Centre Street in the Tradeston area was targeted in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Fire crews were scrambled to the South Side shisha spot shortly after 4.30am, with police called in at around 6.15am.
The inferno was extinguished later that morning, with the restaurant and the flats above it heavily damaged in the blaze. No one was injured during the incident.
Police Scotland have since launched a probe into the fire, which they are treating as wilful. The force confirmed on Saturday that their investigation remains ongoing.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Elixir lashed out at the "cowards" behind the blaze. They said: "During the early hours of the morning, there was an arson attack on Elixir Lounge.
"Being the pioneers of the industry, it is clear that the success of Elixir isn't being digested by a group of cowards. Please keep us in your duas."
The lounge confirmed on Friday night that it would reopen this weekend.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to reports of a building fire on Centre Street at 4.36am on Thursday, May 16.
"There were no casualties, the fire was extinguished, and we left the scene at 8.42am."
