Erskine Bridge reopens following closure to allow Greenpeace yacht to pass

The Erskine Bridge has reopened to traffic after being closed for almost two hours to allow a Greenpeace yacht to pass underneath it.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that Police Scotland requested the route be shut from 2.30pm this afternoon "for public safety".
Activists on Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior are currently sailing up the Clyde, heading for Glasgow where climate summit COP26 is currently taking place.
