EastEnders fans were left in tears on Thursday as Ben Mitchell, played by Max Bowden, finally told estranged husband Callum Highway (Tony Clay) about Lewis Butler (Aidan O'Callaghan). During the latest episode of the BBC One soap, Ben, who was sexually assaulted by Lewis in harrowing scenes on the BBC One soap earlier this year, headed to the police station to report the rapist. However, he got more than he bargained for when his estranged husband Callum arrived to which he immediately questioned why Ben was there, saying: "If someone's hurt you, I need to know...
Ben, please...?" To which Ben bravely and emotionally told Callum about Lewis, with Callum replying: "To think I could have lost you because of him… I thought that you two, Lewis told me…" He added: "Why didn't you tell me?" to which Ben replied: "I didn't think that you'd believe me... I'm sorry." With Callum insisting: "No, I'm sorry... all of this is my fault.
I could have stopped all of this from happening." Later in the episode, after reporting Lewis, Callum told Ben: "Listen, what you did today... I know that wasn’t easy, I will come with you next week when you want to make a statement. I’m just saying, I’m here." The estranged couple then sat down to discuss what had happened and their relationship as Callum said: "I hate that you had to go through all that without me.
"Ben, please give us one more chance... I will do whatever it takes. I will do anything, anything at all.
