EastEnders viewers have been left understandably confused after Janine Butcher, played by Charlie Brooks, revealed she has thousands of pounds in the bank. The mum-of-one returned to the Square last year with nowhere to live and unemployed, and managed to bag a job at the Queen Victoria to make ends meet.
Janine also pledged to become a better mother to her daughter Scarlett Butcher.The EastEnders veteran has been seen sofa-hopping of late, but fans of the BBC soap were left stumped when Janine revealed that she’s managed to squirrel away a whopping £25,000 in last night’s episode, Tuesday 17 May.
