Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell is fearing her upcoming appearance on This Morning is an 'April Fools' prank. The actress is set to appear on the ITV daytime show on Friday (April 1) to chat all things Emma Brooker.
As viewers know, Alexandra has already filmed her final scenes on the ITV soap after announcing her decision to leave after four years. The news of her exit was revealed back in February and last month, Alexandra spent her final days on the Salford-based set which became very emotional for the star.
Her last day came after she enjoyed her leaving do with plenty of her now former co-stars and she also shared a look on her Instagram,m as she waved goodbye to every part of her character while also bagging a set momento.

Alexandra, 27, took to Instagram as she headed to London to appear on Friday's This Morning alongside hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary. She then shared a clip of the pair on the show from the show's official Instagram page and said: "Chatting to these two legends on This Morning! 10.30!"
"Emma's final week on the cobbles!!" she added in pink writing. Alexandra then shared a clip of herself using the 'silly face' filter and wrote: "Imagine I get there and it's an April Fools..."
Alexandra, who starred in the crime drama Vera and the short film Chocolate Pieces before Corrie, arrived on the famous street as pink-wearing Emma back in April 2018 as an apprentice hairdresser at Audrey Roberts' salon and had a fling with Audrey's grandson David Platt.
And there was a surprise in store as she had no idea that she was working and living on the same street as her biological father
