Kelly Rowland appears to argue with security guard on Cannes red carpet

Kelly Rowland appeared to get into a tussle with a security guard on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival last night (May 21).The former Destiny’s Child star was attending the premiere of the film Marcello Mio, a French-Italian comedy written and directed by Christopher Honoré.After posing for photographs, the 43-year-old scaled the steps into the main theatre, where she seemed to get into a heated exchange with a female security officer.Photographs show the guard holding Rowland’s arm to guide her into the venue, but Rowland raises a finger and appears to get into a verbal dispute with her.Someone familiar with the situation told the Daily Mail that “the people who are assigned to helping stars walk the red carpet were being aggressive and Kelly was trying to ignore it.”“By the time she got to the last woman she had had it because she scolded Kelly and told her to move when she was trying to wave to fans and help the paparazzi get their shot,” they added.“She doesn’t care if she comes across like a diva if she knows that she is advocating for herself,” the source continued. “She isn’t fake and wanted to set a clear boundary.”It follows another incident in February when Rowland walked out of an episode of NBC’s Today show that she had been scheduled to co-host.
