The Queen’s passing on 8 September was a sombre moment not just for the country, but for the world. In the days that followed, her successor King Charles III took over the throne and as per tradition there have been many ceremonies taking place in Scotland, where she died, and these will continue in London when she arrives.

While Prince Harry and Prince William recently surprised fans by reuniting alongside their wives as they met with mourners in the street, the two brothers were said to be far from friendly on the evening of the Queen’s death. Several members of the Royal Family rushed to Scotland last week as it was announced that the late monarch has been placed under medical supervision, with Harry having arrived separately to his older brother William. The likes of Charles, Camilla, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle all flocked to Balmoral – where the Queen was residing at the time – as well.

Meghan Markle has put back the date of her next podcast episode following King Charles III's olive branch to her and Prince Harry, it has been reported.

The King and Queen Consort Camilla have left Balmoral en route to Aberdeen airport where they will fly back to London. King Charles was pictured in the back of a car, with Queen Consort Camilla in the front passenger seat, as they were driven in convoy over the River Dee towards Ballater.

On the afternoon of Thursday 8 September, Buckingham Palace announced the sad news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's passing. But hours before her death, the Royal Family were informed of her "hours to live" condition, with many members rushing to get to her bedside.

Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered by history as the longest serving British monarch after reigning for 70 years. However, to her closest family she will be remembered best as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

An actor from Disney's remake of The Lion King has said he is "baffled" by the Duchess of Sussex's story about people in South African taking to the streets to celebrate her Royal wedding. Dr John Kani, who voiced Rafiki in the movie, has said Meghan Markle seems to have made a "faux pas" in her recent interview with US magazine, The Cut, where she said an unnamed South African actor from the cast of the movie made the comments to her about her wedding.The actor, who claims to be the only South African cast member of The Lion King remake, went on say he'd never met the Duchess – despite Meghan having said she chatted to a South African actor at the film's premiere.
