Charlotte Crosby on PTSD and depression: 'It felt like a dark cloud looming over me'

Charlotte Crosby has candidly opened up on depression and PTSD she has experienced during the first trimester of her pregnancy.The 31 year old announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Jake Ankers last month with an emotional Instagram post. Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte has now taken to YouTube to discuss mental health struggles she has faced since falling pregnant, admitting she felt "embarrassed" to feel down. Answering questions that fans had asked her on social media, she gave raw and honest accounts of how she has been feeling during the first three months of her pregnancy.

Speaking about her depression, Charlotte said: "Around six, seven weeks the feeling I had was so scary and I didn't know who to turn to. "I didn't know what people would think about us after wanting to be pregnant for so long.
I felt so down and it was like there was this dark cloud over us. "I was tired and I couldn't get myself off the sofa. It felt like depression.
I felt like 'shouldn't I be happy?' "I felt embarrassed of feeling down when this was all I ever wanted to happen in my life and I wasn't happy." She also discussed her ectopic pregnancy after falling pregnant with ex Gaz Beadle in 2016. She said: "I have some post traumatic stress from when I went through with the ectopic pregnancy and the fact that I nearly died, so labour really scares us. Become an OK!
