CCTV images show the final moments of a Scots gran-of-eight murdered just days before Christmas.
Ann Coll, 61, was found with serious injuries at her property on Newfield Place in the Rutherglen at around 12.45am just days before Christmas, on Friday, December 22. She pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a post-mortem cops confirmed the following day that they had launched a murder probe.
The last person believed to have spoken Ann was her granddaughter but new CCTV images show her inside a local shop the day before she died.
In one image Ann is seen entering the shop wearing a beige jacket and grey gloves. Another captured the gran standing at the till in the shop.
Police Scotland today made a plea outside of the 61-year-old’s flat for help from the public with their investigation.
Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters said: “Ann’s family are absolutely heartbroken and devastated with the news that Ann has passed away under the circumstances in which that's taken place, but they're pulling together as a family. It's a real family unit.
”Ann is well known across the local community and was someone who loved to walk her collie dog Lola around the area.
“At this point in time, we're not declaring any suspects as yet. However, I will say that the investigation is progressing well and we're happy with the response that we've received so far from the public.
“The community, as ever, always step up. They've been very supportive of the investigation, and happy to engage with us, which is really positive, but obviously, I would still appeal to them to come forward. If there's anything, regardless of how small.
