Carl Starfelt reckons Celtic have tooled up for a trophy assault as Matt O’Riley checked in at Parkhead to join Ange Postecoglou’s Parkhead revolution.
The MK Dons midfielder penned a four-and-a-half year deal ahead of the Scottish Cup clash with Alloa.
The 21-year-old has been a stand out in England’s League One and headed to Scotland after Celts hit the button on his £1.5m release clause.
Starfelt has been impressed with Postecoglou’s January additions so far – with Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda hitting the ground running against Hibs on Monday.
The Sweden defender is convinced Celtic have the strength in depth to hunt down more major honours having already bagged the League Cup before Christmas.
Starfelt said: “I’m always been pretty confident in this squad all along but it’s great to see reinforcements. It gives us more depth in the group, which is really important with so many games.
“It’s not just going to be 11 players who do it – we need everyone.
“You can rotate in some games and rest players at times. We are looking strong.
“It’s always good to have competition for places. It pushes everyone to really do their best.
“Right now we have competition in every position. It makes training interesting and it’s not so easy for the manager to pick his squad every week.
“In defence we also have Christopher Jullien coming back. That’s also good as you want players who can contribute.”
Celts cut the gap at the top of the Premiership to four points with Rangers slipping up at Aberdeen but the Scottish Cup is also a top priority.
Starfelt said: “We are targeting success in every competition we are in and we will give our all.
