BREAKING: Motorcyclist, 46, killed in tragic crash between bike and car

A 46-year-old man has died after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Salford. Emergency services were called to the scene of the smash on the A57 Liverpool, near to Barton Airport, just before 6am yesterday (March 16).
According to police, a car and motorbike collided. The motorcyclist - a 46-year-old man - tragically died at the scene. The driver of the car - a Ford Fiesta - remained at the scene to talk to police.

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said. After the crash yesterday, police cordoned off a stretch of the road for several hours.
The road was shut between Port Salford Way and Stadium Way.
Evidence markers were placed on the road as investigations were carried out. A Ford car with a smashed front was pictured at the scene. A motorbike was also towed away.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward. They particularly want to speak to anyone who has dashcam footage of the crash.
