Taylor Swift is set to begin at the University of Texas (UTA) in Austin.The new course, which begins this autumn and is titled The Taylor Swift Songbook, will see her read alongside the likes of Chaucer, Shakespeare, Keats and Sylvia Plath.Preliminary texts for the course include her 2020 lockdown albums ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’, 2019’s ‘Lover’ and the new ‘Taylor’s Version’ reissue of ‘Red’.According to a description on the UTA website, the course will use “the songwriting of pop music icon Taylor Swift to introduce literary critical reading and research methods-basic skills for work in English literature and other humanities disciplines.It adds: “Focusing on Swift’s music and the cultural contexts in which it and her career are situated, we’ll consider frameworks for understanding her work, such as poetic form, style, and history among various matters and theoretical issues important to contextualisation as we practice close and in-depth reading, evaluating secondary sources, and building strong arguments.”Earlier this year, New York University’s Clive Davis Institute launched a new course on Swift. The course began at the Davis Institute, which is part of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, on January 26 ran through to March 9.In May, Swift then delivered a commencement address for New York University’s class of 2022.

Gary Busey was charged with sex crimes on Friday by Cherry Hill, New Jersey police. The Malibu, California resident attended the Monster Mania Convention in mid-August where the police department responded to the report of a sexual offense. Per the news release, Busey, 78, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, a single count of fourth-degree attempted sexual assault and a single count of harassment.  Actor Gary Busey has been charged with sex crimes in New Jersey.

BLACKPINK have returned with ‘Pink Venom’, the lead single from their imminent ‘Born Pink’ album.The song was first teased at the very start of the month (on August 1), when BLACKPINK confirmed their return in a video outlining the ‘Born Pink’ timeline – they’d release a single this month and the album itself in September, before kicking off “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group” in October.Listen to ‘Pink Venom’, which features the use of the traditional Korean string instrument called the gayageum, and watch the music video below:‘Born Pink’ will be released on September 16 via YG Entertainment. According to the label, the title for the album “implies the identity” of the group, “which is never ordinary and will exude a fatal aura”.

The scenes then change to show rows of figures dressed in black satin hooded cloaks kneeling on the floor, pink glowing from beneath their hoods.As the clip ends, the four members of BLACKPINK – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – are seen in various shots, as the line “I bring the pain like” rings out.

Naman Ramachandran The Dutch adaptation of Amazon original series “Modern Love” will premiere on Prime Video this winter. The series features stories about love and relationships, with each episode based on the popular column from The New York Times. The stories in the Dutch series all take place in Amsterdam, from central station, the Amstel to Amsterdam-Noord and Zuidoost.“Modern Love Amsterdam” is produced by NL Film, part of Banijay Benelux, with Sabine Brian as producer and Robert Alberdingk Thijm as showrunner.

Amazon relationships format Modern Love is taking that loving feeling into the Netherlands. A Dutch adaptation will premiere on Prime Video globally this winter.
