There's just something undeniably attractive about sad songs that we're drawn to regardless of our mood. Many artists, over the years, have used their own personal life struggles as inspiration to pen the most heartbreaking lyrics, add melody to it and make it into a chart-topping song.

Making this year’s graduation ceremony extra special, some of the biggest celebrities in the entertainment industry joined YouTube’s virtual graduation and celebrated the Class of 2020. “I know this probably wasn’t the type of graduation you thought you’d have,” said Taylor Swift in a video sent out to all the quarantined graduates of 2020. She spoke to her young fans and people around the world through Youtube’s global virtual commencement ceremony, which hoped to bring together newly graduated people in a way that couldn’t happen this year because of the coronavirus.

Following escalating protests in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in response to the police killing of George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, President Donald Trump via Twitter threatened violence through the military against protesters.Taylor Swift, in a rare political statement, hit back at Trump's tweet, writing, "We will vote you out in November."Protests have erupted across the country following the killing of George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man who an officer suffocated by pinning down Floyd's
